2018 Parent Helper Breakfast
On Wednesday, 12 December, staff and parents gathered for the 2018 Parent Helper Breakfast. This breakfast is a small way to say thank you to the parents and carers who assist during the school year including covering library books, assisting in the canteen, assisting in events such as discos, barbecues and concerts as well as helping coach students in a range of sporting gala days.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated and valued by the entire school community. Every helping hand, not matter how small, helps our students to be safe, respectful learners.

✝️🏀⛹️♂️ 🌭Father’s Day Celebration 🌭⛹️♂️🏀✝️ Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Father’s Day liturgy, BBQ breakfast, and games morning. It was wonderful to see our students celebrating this special occasion with their families. Our Gospel reading this morning—the Parable of the Prodigal Son—reminded us of the importance of forgiveness, love, and second chances within our families and school community. As we continue through the Year of Hope, this message encourages us to embrace compassion and connection in all our relationships. We wish all our fathers and father figures a very happy Father’s Day this Sunday. May your day be filled with love, appreciation, and joy.

👵Year Six Visit to The Royce Retirement Home 👴🏼 Today, our first group of Year Six students visited The Royce Retirement Home to spend some quality time with the residents. The afternoon was filled with light refreshments, laughter, and a few lively games of bingo! This initiative, part of our FIAT (Faith in Action Team) work, helps strengthen the bonds between our school and the wider community, fostering compassion, empathy, and intergenerational connection.

🏛️ Stage 2 Excursion 🏛️ Stage 2 students enjoyed a wonderful day at the Australian Museum. They were able to explore a range of exhibits and completed sessions about animals features where they were given a feature and they had to go and find the animal in the museum. A fun filled day with lots of valuable hands on learning.

✝️ 2025 CSPD Education Mass ✝️ The St Nicholas of Myra School Captains attended the 2025 CSPD Education Mass with representatives from each school in the diocese. A great opportunity to attend Mass led by Bishop Vincent in this Jubilee year with the focus as 'Pilgrims of Hope'.

🎤 🎙️Voice of Youth 2025 🎤🎙️ Our three Voice of Youth representatives stepped up to the challenge at the Penrith cluster final today. We are so proud of the attitude and effort shown to write, rehearse, rewrite, rehearse and rewrite again to finally perform on the day. The three minutes on stage is months of hard work, preparation and dedication. Special mention to Amos who finished cluster final runner up 🎉🏆
