2018 Parent Helper Breakfast
On Wednesday, 12 December, staff and parents gathered for the 2018 Parent Helper Breakfast. This breakfast is a small way to say thank you to the parents and carers who assist during the school year including covering library books, assisting in the canteen, assisting in events such as discos, barbecues and concerts as well as helping coach students in a range of sporting gala days.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated and valued by the entire school community. Every helping hand, not matter how small, helps our students to be safe, respectful learners.

ππ𧑠Term 3 Learning Highlights ππ𧑠Year 2 learning highlights in Term 3 included some English, History and Science. In History and English, Year 2 combined their reading and writing using the text 'My Place' by Nadia Wheatley. They completed a project where they needed to draft, edit and publish their own version of my place for their context. In Science, they also enjoyed designing and creating rockets out of recycled materials for their 'Earth and Space' unit. ππ𧑠Term 3 Learning Highlights ππ𧑠Kindergarten worked hard in Science in Term 3 completing a Design and Make where they were challenged to create a toy out of recycled materials. The students not only focused on the Science, but developed their problem solving and creativity by being challenged and persisting through problems. We can not wait to see the amazing learning of Kindergarten in Term 4!

Years 5 & 6 (2026): Eligible to nominate for all sports when they open. Year 4 (2026): Eligible to nominate for Basketball, Hockey, Softball, Tennis & Touch Football only. Eligibility & Requirements β Trials are for students who can demonstrate: - Above average ability - High level of skill development - Representative playing experience (for some sports) - Regular competition experience outside of school (preferred) β To be eligible: The 2026 CSPD Primary Sport TEAM Registration Form must be completed. βοΈ Sacrament of Reconciliation Celebration βοΈ We joyfully celebrate with the 12 students from St Nicholas who recently received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time on Tuesday night. This special occasion was made even more meaningful by the presence of 7 priests from the diocese, who gathered to celebrate the liturgy and support these young people on their faith journey. It was a beautiful witness to see so many friends and family members in attendance, offering their love and encouragement. Moments like these remind us of the strength and unity of our faith community. Please continue to keep these students in your prayers as they grow in their relationship with God.
