2018 Author Visit
Author Alan Whiticker, a former St Nicholas of Myra and St Dominics student, visited St Nicholas to share his books and experiences of being an author with the students. Alan has written over 50 books (non fiction) many on rugby league and sport. A former teacher, he now writes full time and is also a publisher. He loved visiting the school today and some classrooms and donated over 50 books today from all different authors he represents and publishers. Thank You Alan and a wonderful experience for our students.

The St Nick's school spirit shone through with teams working together and supporting each other. Congratulations to group 11 whole ended up our 2025 Book Week Trivia Champions π₯π₯π₯

βοΈ Feast of the Assumption of Mary βοΈ Today is the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. St Nicholas of Myra Primary students attended Parish Mass and our Infants students held a beautiful Liturgy. Special congratulations to Vivien, Olivia and Celine who assisted at Parish Mass as Altar Servers, their first Mass.

βοΈ Feast of St Mary of the Cross βοΈ Today is the Feast of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop. The St Nicholas of Myra community gathered to celebrate not only Australia's first saint, but an integral figure in the history of St Nicholas of Myra. Today we pray that Mary MacKillop continues to watch over us and that we continue her legacy.

π€π€ Voice of Youth School Final π€π€ Today, Stages 2 and 3 were treated to the St Nicholas of Myra Voice of Youth school final. Public speaking is never easy, but these students left their comfort zone and mesmerized the audience with their carefully composed and well rehearsed speeches on a range of topics. Your teachers are enormously pleased with your learning efforts but even more proud of the way you all supported and encouraged each other to be the best you can be, showing true St Nick's school spirit. Special congratulations to Amos, Anna, Tvaritha and Zayna (reserve) who will be representing St Nicholas of Myra at the 2025 Region finals in Week 6.

ππ Tony Bones ππ St Nicholas of Myra students were treated to a performance by Tony Bones bringing Books to life with an engaging and interactive representation of General Waste by Michel Streich. The students laughed and enjoyed themselves whilst learning that we can reuse and recycle many things to help look after our environment.
