It was wonderful to reconnect with former St Nicholas of Myra students and see how they are thriving in their high school years. It was a beautiful reminder of the strong relationships formed in our community. πββοΈ Nepean Zone Swimming Carnival 2026 πββοΈ St Nicholas of Myra students truly got into the swimming spirit at the 2026 Nepean Zone Swimming Carnival. Our students showcased their skills, cheered one another on and competed with outstanding effort and determination. We are so proud of the way they conducted themselves both in and out of the water, demonstrating respect, teamwork and true sportsmanship. Not 1, not 2, not 3β¦ but 12 students will now represent the Nepean Zone at the 2026 CSPD Swimming Carnival on March 4th! βοΈ Ash Wednesday β Infants Liturgy π Today our Infants students gathered for a beautiful Ash Wednesday Liturgy to mark the beginning of the Lenten season. Through prayer and reflection, students learned that Lent is a special time to grow closer to God by showing kindness, making good choices and caring for others. A special thank you to our Faith in Action Team for leading our Liturgy with such reverence and confidence. βοΈ Ash Wednesday β Primary βοΈ Today our Stage 3 students at St Nicholas of Myra attended Mass for Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of the Lenten season. During Lent, we strive to grow closer to God through prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Father Rojan reminded us that God has given us something very special, today. He also challenged us throughout this holy season: How can we do something for someone else each day of Lent? Our Infants students will hold a Liturgy at 2:30pm in the school hall. All are warmly welcome to join us as we begin this sacred journey together. ππ

βοΈ 2026 Opening School Mass βοΈ The St Nicholas of Myra community gathered to celebrate our 2026 Opening School Mass. Our theme was βTogether We Learn, Together We Serveβ was inspired by Galatians 5:13. It was a beautiful opportunity to come together in faith as we begin a new school year. Father Rojan spoke about the importance of being united in our learning, in service to one another, and in our relationship with God. π Student Success π Last weekend, Liam in Year 6 competed at the Little Athletics Region 6 Carnival, showcasing his talents across a range of events including the 100m, 200m, Discus, Shot Put and Javelin. We are thrilled to share that Liam brought home Bronze medals in Discus, Shot Put and Javelin! Stage 3 Camp β One Last Adventure ποΈπͺ Stage 3 students set out for one final activity session at camp. Group 1 conquered the rock climbing wall, while Group 2 quite literally swung their fears away on the giant swing! We are incredibly proud of every student for facing their fears, pushing themselves beyond their comfort zones, and taking on each challenge head on. What a fantastic way to finish an unforgettable camp experience! π
