ποΈ Ready, set, race!ποΈ Our Kindergarten, Year 1, and Year 2 students had an amazing time testing out their skills with our custom-made billy carts at their Billy Cart Incursion! ππ¨ They explored how wheels and movement work while practising balance, steering, and teamwork. Racing around the course using their own feet, they built confidence, coordination, and control β all while discovering the science of motion and force in a super fun way! βοΈβ¨

π 2025 CSPD Basketball Gala Day π What an incredible day of teamwork, energy, and St Nickβs school spirit! ππ§‘π St Nicholas of Myra was proudly represented at the 2025 CSPD Basketball Gala Day, with six teams from Stage 2 and Stage 3 taking to the courts. Our students played with determination, enthusiasm, and fantastic sportsmanship β encouraging one another, including everyone, and celebrating every success along the way. π A huge thank you to our amazing teachers β Mrs Khoury, Mrs Selby, Ms Bernays, and Mr Brown β for their support and organisation, and to our wonderful parent helpers β Mr Brown, Mrs Arokianathan, Mrs Reales, Mr Akbary, Mrs Muthuvairavan, Mr VinothKumar and Mr Pigera β for cheering on our teams throughout the day. π Well done to all our players for representing St Nickβs with pride and joy β a true example of our school spirit in action! πͺπ½β¨

Remembrance Day Today, on the 11th of November, we stop to remember all the men and women who have served our country in times of war, conflict, and peace. At the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we pause to honour their courage and sacrifice. As a Catholic community, we remember that Jesus calls us to be people of peace and love. In the Gospel, Jesus says, βBlessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of Godβ (Matthew 5:9). On this day, we give thanks for the men and women who have worked to bring peace to our world, often with great courage and selflessness. The red poppy reminds us that even after times of great sadness, new life and hope can grow. We wear it to show our respect and to promise that we will not forget those who gave their lives for others. Remembrance Day reminds us of the people who gave up so much so that we can live in peace and freedom. We remember those who fought at places like Gallipoli and the Western Front, and those who have served in more recent times, helping others around the world. The red poppy is the symbol of Remembrance Day. It grew on the battlefields after the First World War and reminds us that even in dark times, hope can grow. We invite you to join our commemoration on Wednesday 12th at 10:45am on the school playground. Lest we forget.
