Years 5 & 6 (2026): Eligible to nominate for all sports when they open. Year 4 (2026): Eligible to nominate for Basketball, Hockey, Softball, Tennis & Touch Football only. Eligibility & Requirements β Trials are for students who can demonstrate: - Above average ability - High level of skill development - Representative playing experience (for some sports) - Regular competition experience outside of school (preferred) β To be eligible: The 2026 CSPD Primary Sport TEAM Registration Form must be completed. π©΅π𧑠Welcome to Term 4 π©΅π𧑠St Nicholas of Myra students started Term 4 with assembly and some Kirby Awards for students who have received their safe, respect, learner and school spirit awards. Special mention to Maya and Wade who are the first Kindergarten students to receive the award in 2025. We are sure there will be many more to come.

ππ𧑠Term 3 Learning Highlights ππ𧑠In Term 3, Stage 3 students took part in an exciting Novel Study Project. Each student selected a novel they had never read before (and had not seen the movie version of!) and created a portfolio of work to showcase their reading and thinking skills. The portfolio included a range of creative and critical activities, with students completing tasks at different challenge levels β silver, gold and platinum. From character diaries and book reviews to artwork, maps and alternative endings, students demonstrated both their imagination and their ability to deeply engage with literature. In Week 9, students proudly presented their finished portfolios to each stage and their families, celebrating their reading achievements and sharing their insights with others. We look forward to the amazing learning from Stage 3 in Term 4!

ππ§‘π Term 3 Learning Highlights ππ§‘π Stage 2 learning highlights in Term 3 included a wonderful day at the Australian Museum. The students were able to view many of the exhibits and were especially interested to see the 'Minerals' exhibit with many different gems and rocks on display. The students also loved exploring the 'Dinosaur' exhibit and were amazed at how giant the prehistoric creatures were that roamed the earth many years ago. In the 'Wild Planet' exhibit, the museum staff talked with the students all about animals and their specific features, using hands on resources such as the preserved skin of an emu's leg, the shell of a turtle, a spike from an echidna and a giant feather from a bird. The students all really enjoyed seeing and touching the features. We look forward to more amazing Stage 2 learning in Term 4!

They completed a project where they needed to draft, edit and publish their own version of my place for their context. In Science, they also enjoyed designing and creating rockets out of recycled materials for their 'Earth and Space' unit. We look forward to more amazing Year 2 learning in Term 4!

ππ𧑠Term 3 Learning Highlights ππ𧑠Kindergarten worked hard in Science in Term 3 completing a Design and Make where they were challenged to create a toy out of recycled materials. The students not only focused on the Science, but developed their problem solving and creativity by being challenged and persisting through problems. We can not wait to see the amazing learning of Kindergarten in Term 4!
