2018 Christmas Celebration Concert
On December 6, the feast day of St Nicholas of Myra, over 700 people from our school community gathered for the 2018 Christmas Celebration Concert. This wonderful event included a free barbecue, our annual Christmas raffle and our talented students acting out and singing the Christmas story. The students are to be commended on their amazing costumes, reverent acting and beautiful singing. We even had a surprise visit from the North Pole with Santa and Mrs Claus stopping by to share gifts with the children.
A big thank you to the teachers and parents who assisted before, during after the celebration. An extra thank you to Mike and Outback Steakhouse Penrith for their donation and cooking the barbecue and to Miss Reece for her hours of preparation and rehearsal of the students to make this event one to remember. A wonderful event for a wonderful community.

๐ Student Success ๐ We are proud to share that following his success as Liam in Year 6 qualified for and competed at the Little Athletics NSW State Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park last weekend. Liam competed in three events and achieved outstanding results against strong competition: ๐ 18th in Javelin ๐ 11th in Shot Put ๐ฅ 4th in Discus Competing at this level is an incredible accomplishment, and Liamโs results reflect his dedication and hard work. We are especially proud of the perseverance, character, and sportsmanship he displayed throughout the competition. ๐ Congratulations, Liam! We look forward to seeing what you achieve next.

๐ Student Success ๐ We are incredibly proud to celebrate Yethumโs outstanding achievement at the Nepean District Cricket Association (NDCA) award ceremony held on March 20, 2026. Yethum was recognised for achieving the best bowling average in the 2025/26 summer cricket season โ an exceptional accomplishment! Finishing the season with 19 wickets at an incredible average of 3.11, Yethumโs performance is a testament to his skill, dedication, and hard work. Congratulations, Yethum! Your school community is proud of you and looks forward to seeing your continued success on the field ๐

700+ Unite for Project Compassion Big Water Walk
More than 700 students and staff from 23 schools across Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) came together for Caritas Australiaโs Big Water Walk in support of Project Compassion. Beginning at Parramatta Park, students carried buckets of water along a 4km route, gaining a glimpse of the daily journey faced by people in developing communities, especially women and children, in search of clean water.

โ๏ธ Holy Week Reflection โ๏ธ During this sacred time in the Church year, our Year 6 students will lead our school community in a reverent Holy Week reenactment. Through prayerful reading, acting, and song, they will bring to life the events of Holy Week, helping us all to enter more deeply into the story of Jesusโ love, sacrifice, and hope. This special experience is not just a performance, but an opportunity for our whole school to pause, reflect, and pray together. ๐ Harmony Day at St Nicholas of Myra ๐งก Harmony Day is a special opportunity for us to celebrate the rich diversity of cultures, backgrounds, and traditions that make up our wonderful school community. It reminds us that everyone belongs and highlights the importance of respect, inclusion, and understanding. As a Catholic community, we are called to welcome and include all, recognising the dignity of every person and celebrating the unique gifts each individual brings. On Monday 23rd March, students are invited to wear traditional cultural dress or something orange to show their support for Harmony Day. All members of our community are warmly invited to join us for a Harmony Day Prayer, which will take place following our Monday morning assembly at 9:00am. Today we congratulate our Year 3 and Year 5 students who have now completed their 2026 NAPLAN assessments. We are very proud of the way our students approached these assessments, showing persistence, resilience and a positive attitude as they gave their best effort in each assessment. ๐ Happy St Patrickโs Day! ๐ Today our school community celebrated St Patrickโs Day, remembering the life and faith of St Patrick, who brought the message of Godโs love to the people of Ireland. Students enjoyed coming together in prayer, learning about the story of St Patrick, and celebrating the rich faith and traditions of our Catholic Church. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and plenty of green around the school!
