2018 Christmas Celebration Concert
On December 6, the feast day of St Nicholas of Myra, over 700 people from our school community gathered for the 2018 Christmas Celebration Concert. This wonderful event included a free barbecue, our annual Christmas raffle and our talented students acting out and singing the Christmas story. The students are to be commended on their amazing costumes, reverent acting and beautiful singing. We even had a surprise visit from the North Pole with Santa and Mrs Claus stopping by to share gifts with the children.
A big thank you to the teachers and parents who assisted before, during after the celebration. An extra thank you to Mike and Outback Steakhouse Penrith for their donation and cooking the barbecue and to Miss Reece for her hours of preparation and rehearsal of the students to make this event one to remember. A wonderful event for a wonderful community.

Students will celebrate this special sacrament at one of three Masses: 📍 Saturday 6:00pm 📍 Sunday 10:00am 📍 Sunday 12:00pm We congratulate and pray for Emily, Valentina, Zian, Irene, Fletcher, Liam, Jamie, Oliver and Isaac as they receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time. The St Vincent de Paul volunteers were incredibly grateful for the many items donated, which will provide warmth, comfort and support to people experiencing hardship this winter. 🎶 Musica Viva Australia at St Nicholas of Myra 🎶 St Nicholas of Myra students enjoyed a powerful and engaging performance titled Lost Histories by musician and composer Troy, alongside violinist Susie and vocalist Leila. Through music, storytelling and reflection, students explored Troy's connection to history, culture and place. The performance encouraged students to think deeply about their own stories, identities and connections to the world around them. Students enthusiastically sang along to songs they had been learning in Music with Mrs Clarke, making the experience even more meaningful and interactive. The enthusiasm, participation and thoughtful engagement shown by our students throughout the performance were outstanding. A heartfelt thank you to Troy, Susie and Leila for sharing your talents, stories and passion with our St Nicholas of Myra community. We had so much fun learning with you and were inspired by the experience.

💤💙 Pyjama Day for the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal 💤💙 Today, the students and staff of St Nicholas of Myra came to school in their pyjamas to support the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. As the winter months approach, many individuals and families in our community will face challenges meeting their basic needs. As a Catholic school community, we are called to care for those who are most vulnerable and to put our faith into action through acts of kindness, generosity and service. 🏃♂️ 2026 St Nick’s Cross Country Team 🏃♀️ Our 2026 St Nick’s Cross Country Team was proudly presented with their ribbons from the recent CSPD Cross Country Carnival at Eastern Creek. Congratulations to Oscar, Caitlyn, Felix, Ozias, Rome, Jake, Olivia, Aurora, Phoenix, Charlotte, Lacey-Jane, Lola, Samritha, Mia, Savain, Alex, Jaiden, Emily, Darius and Oliver on their fantastic achievements. 🧶 Crochet Club 2026 🧶 This term, our Mission Initiative is focused on helping and supporting people experiencing homelessness and hardship during the cold winter months. 🏀 Student Success 🏀 The St Nicholas of Myra community congratulates Rome, who competed as part of the MacKillop Team last week at the 2026 PSSA Basketball Championships in Port Macquarie. Rome proudly showcased his basketball skills throughout the tournament, with Team MacKillop finishing the three-day competition in an impressive 4th place. Congratulations, Rome!
