2018 End of Year Awards Assembly 

On Friday, 14 December, the St Nicholas community gathered for the 2018 End of Year Awards Assembly. Awards presented including; St Vincent de Paul Award, Museum of Fire Award, The Lindsay Award, The Stuart Ayres Award, Christian Living Award, Academic Achievement Award, Academic Growth Award, Outstanding Effort Award, The St Nicholas of Myra Award, Gold and Silver Awards, EMU Awards, Reading Recovery Awards, Matific Top Star Earner and The Premiers Reading Challenge Gold & Platinum Awards. In this assembly we also farewelled our outgoing teachers and welcomed in our 2019 school and sports leaders. 

Congratulations to all students who received awards. They are a small token of your dedication and persistence towards your learning. The St Nicholas community is extremely proud of you.

    πŸ…πŸŠ Kindergarten Excursion – Sydney Zoo 🦏🦘 Kindergarten students from St Nicholas of Myra enjoyed their very first excursion to Sydney Zoo. Throughout the day, students explored the zoo, learning about a wide variety of animals and their natural environments. In addition to their wildlife experiences, students deepened their understanding of Indigenous Australian culture, exploring connections to the land and examining cultural artefacts. It was a wonderful day filled with friendship, discovery and meaningful learning for our Kindergarten students.

    🐾 πŸ… Kindergarten Excursion – Sydney Zoo πŸ˜πŸ¦’ Our Kindergarten students from St Nicholas of Myra Primary School are heading off on their very first excursion to Sydney Zoo! πŸŽ‰ This exciting day of learning will see students exploring the amazing world of animals, discovering their characteristics, needs, behaviours, and the environments in which they live. Students will also deepen their understanding of First Nations cultures by engaging with Dreaming stories, oral histories, and physical objects, learning how First Nations peoples connect to Country and community today. 🌏 We look forward to seeing our Kindergarten students be learners who are safe and respectful as they embrace this wonderful opportunity!
