2018 Kindergarten Billycart Incursion
On Friday 16 November 2018, Kindergarten students took part in a Billycart Incursion as part of their Science and Technology unit 'On the Move'. Students took part in building their own billycarts by working in teams, determining how to make the carts safe using bolts and washers, and figuring out how to steer their billycarts through a course. A great afternoon for students and their invited families.

π§Έπ PYJAMA DAY β SUPPORTING THE WINTER APPEAL ππ§Έ Next Wednesday 3 June 2026 (Week 7), our school community will be supporting the St Vincent de Paul Society Winter Appeal through our Pyjama Day! βοΈ Students are invited to wear their pyjamas to school and bring along donations to support local families and individuals doing it tough this winter. We are collecting items such as: 𧣠Beanies, blankets and scarves πͺ₯ Toothpaste and toothbrushes 𧴠Soap/body wash, shampoo and deodorant π Feminine hygiene products and sanitiser βIt is more blessed to give than to receive.β β Acts 20:35 Together, we can make a difference in the lives of others within our community. Through our Crochet Club, students will have the opportunity to learn basic crochet skills while creating items that can support the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. ππ𧑠Thank You to our students and teachers who donate their time to help out people in need. Here at St Nicholas with the help of our FIAT team, we live out our faith through action. β¨

π Motherβs Day Mass π Today, St Nicholas of Myra students gathered in the St Nicholas of Myra Church to celebrate and give thanks for all the mothers, grandmothers, nannas, nanas, grans, grandmas, omaβs, yiayias and the special women in our lives. During the Mass, Father Joe reminded students that God gifted us our mothers from the very moment of our birth, blessing us with people who nurture, guide and love us unconditionally. Students also reflected on Mary, the Mother of God, and the beautiful example she gives us through her faith, kindness, courage and love. Just as Mary cared for Jesus, we give thanks for the many women in our lives who care for and support us each day. We thank all of the wonderful women in our school community and wish them a very happy Motherβs Day.
