2018 Parent Helper Breakfast
On Wednesday, 12 December, staff and parents gathered for the 2018 Parent Helper Breakfast. This breakfast is a small way to say thank you to the parents and carers who assist during the school year including covering library books, assisting in the canteen, assisting in events such as discos, barbecues and concerts as well as helping coach students in a range of sporting gala days.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated and valued by the entire school community. Every helping hand, not matter how small, helps our students to be safe, respectful learners.

β 2026 Welcome Picnic β What a wonderful way to begin the 2026 school year! Our Welcome Picnic was a fantastic opportunity for families, students and staff to come together in community and celebrate the year ahead. It was great to see so many families enjoying time together, reconnecting with friends and making new connections. βοΈ 2026 Opening School Mass βοΈ The St Nicholas of Myra community gathered to celebrate our 2026 Opening School Mass. Our theme was βTogether We Learn, Together We Serveβ was inspired by Galatians 5:13. It was a beautiful opportunity to come together in faith as we begin a new school year. Father Rojan spoke about the importance of being united in our learning, in service to one another, and in our relationship with God. His message reminded us that we are strongest when we walk together as a community. We look forward to a wonderful 2026 together as a school community. β¨π

β¨ Opening School Mass, Student Leader Induction & Welcome Picnic β¨ Just a reminder that our Opening School Mass, Student Leader Induction and Welcome Picnic will be held tomorrow, Friday 13th February. Students are asked to wear their full summer uniform for this significant whole school event as we gather to celebrate the beginning of the school year and formally induct our 2026 Student Leaders. We warmly invite all families to join us for this special occasion as we come together in faith and community. Following the Mass and induction ceremony, we look forward to sharing time together at our Welcome Picnic. A wonderful opportunity to connect, celebrate and begin the year as one school family. π Student Success π Last weekend, Liam in Year 6 competed at the Little Athletics Region 6 Carnival, showcasing his talents across a range of events including the 100m, 200m, Discus, Shot Put and Javelin. We are thrilled to share that Liam brought home Bronze medals in Discus, Shot Put and Javelin! What an outstanding achievement! π We are so proud of Liamβs dedication, effort and sportsmanship, and we look forward to celebrating even more athletics success in 2026. Well done, Liam! π

Stage 3 Camp β One Last Adventure ποΈπͺ Stage 3 students set out for one final activity session at camp. Group 1 conquered the rock climbing wall, while Group 2 quite literally swung their fears away on the giant swing! We are incredibly proud of every student for facing their fears, pushing themselves beyond their comfort zones, and taking on each challenge head on. What a fantastic way to finish an unforgettable camp experience! π

Stage 3 Camp β Free Time Fun ππ Free time was well spent with students choosing from basketball, beach volleyball, table tennis and handball, while others enjoyed the chance to sit, relax and chat with friends. A great balance of activity, laughter and connection to round out the day!

Stage 3 Camp β Afternoon Adventures π―π¬οΈ This afternoon, Group 1 took on the GIANT swing (with almost no screaming π), while Group 2 showed great focus and skill at archery, taking aim and hitting their targets. Everyone is now enjoying some free time as the storm passes, recharging before dinner and an exciting night of games ahead!
