2018 Parent Helper Breakfast
On Wednesday, 12 December, staff and parents gathered for the 2018 Parent Helper Breakfast. This breakfast is a small way to say thank you to the parents and carers who assist during the school year including covering library books, assisting in the canteen, assisting in events such as discos, barbecues and concerts as well as helping coach students in a range of sporting gala days.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated and valued by the entire school community. Every helping hand, not matter how small, helps our students to be safe, respectful learners.

π STUDENT SUCCESS | LIAM GOES TO NATIONALS! π¦πΊ What a remarkable two days for Liam at the 2026 PSSA Athletics Championships! We are incredibly proud of his achievements as he proudly represented St Nicholas of Myra and MacKillop. πββοΈ 100m Sprint: Liam ran an outstanding 13.30 seconds, setting a new personal best and shaving a whole second off his previous time. What an effort! πͺ Shot Put: Liam threw 10.99m, placing him eighth in the state! An incredible achievement at this level of competition. π₯ Discus: Liam threw an impressive 40.61m, earning himself a silver medal and securing selection in the NSW PSSA State Team! π¦πΊ NEXT STOP: NATIONALS! Liam will now represent NSW at the School Sport Australia Track and Field Championships, held from 29th November to 3rd December 2026 at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park, Victoria. Liam, you should be incredibly proud of what you have achieved. Your determination, resilience and commitment are an inspiration to our school community. Congratulations, Liam! π𧦠Our Faith in Action β Socktober! π§¦π Socktober is a powerful way to bring communities together during Mission Month to support children in need around the world. Today, our St Nicholas of Myra students proudly wore their crazy socks and made donations in support of Mission Month! π Students also participated in Religious Education activities to deepen their understanding of the lives and experiences of children in different parts of the world, building empathy, awareness and a sense of global responsibility. We also came together for a fun soccer match between students and teachers! β½ It was a wonderful opportunity to share some laughs, build connections and strengthen our sense of community while supporting an important cause. Through these activities, we are reminded that our faith calls us to look beyond ourselves, recognise the dignity of every person and take action to make a difference in the lives of others. By learning about the challenges faced by children around the world, our students are encouraged to live out the Gospel values of Faith, Love and Service. π βWhoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord.β β Proverbs 19:17 May we continue to put our faith into action by showing compassion, sharing what we have and standing alongside those most in need. β€οΈπ

Six Year 6 students from 58 Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) Primary schools came together at St John XXIII Catholic College Stanhope Gardens on 22 September for the Voice of Youth Grand Final, showcasing their public speaking skills through a series of thoughtful and engaging speeches.

Thank you for a wonderful Term 3 at St Nicholas of Myra! Working together as a school community helps our students grow in faith, learning and understanding, and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support throughout the term. A very special thank you for your generous support of our 2026 Learn a thon. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our school community, and the students thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic day of learning, creativity and fun.
