2018 Parent Helper Breakfast
On Wednesday, 12 December, staff and parents gathered for the 2018 Parent Helper Breakfast. This breakfast is a small way to say thank you to the parents and carers who assist during the school year including covering library books, assisting in the canteen, assisting in events such as discos, barbecues and concerts as well as helping coach students in a range of sporting gala days.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated and valued by the entire school community. Every helping hand, not matter how small, helps our students to be safe, respectful learners.

2026 ANZAC School Service Today, our Stage 3 students attended the ANZAC School Service at Penrith Showground, joining schools from across the region to honour and remember those who have served our country. We are incredibly proud of our school leaders, Olivia and Isabella, who laid a wreath on behalf of our community with respect and dignity. “They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.” Lest We Forget.

Your generosity helps strengthen and support our wonderful school community. 🌟 Student Success 🐣🎤 A huge shout out to our egg-cellent Easter Hat Parade hosts, Yethum and Lila! 🐰✨ Public speaking is no easy task, but they showed incredible courage, confidence, and kept their nerves at bay, all while letting their personalities shine through for all to see. 🎩✨ What an EGG-cellent afternoon! 🐣🌸 Our St Nicholas of Myra students (and we suspect a few creative parents too! 😉) absolutely amazed us with their incredible Easter Hat Parade creations! From bright and colourful to wonderfully intricate designs, the creativity was on full display and truly wowed the crowd. 🍦💧 Project Compassion Fundraiser Ice Cream 💧🍦 The St Nicholas of Myra Faith in Action Team recently organised a wonderful ice-cream fundraiser in conjunction with The Big Water Walk to support Project Compassion. Through this initiative, our students not only enjoyed a sweet treat but also contributed to a meaningful cause—raising funds to support communities in need around the world. Project Compassion helps provide critical resources and opportunities for people to reclaim their lives with dignity, resilience and hope. Every contribution brings us one step closer to creating lasting change. 💧 Project Compassion – The Big Water Walk 💧 Students at St Nicholas of Myra recently took part in The Big Water Walk, stepping into the shoes of those around the world who walk long distances every day to access clean water. Carrying buckets of water around a course, our students experienced just a small glimpse of the challenges faced by communities in Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Through this powerful activity, they built empathy, awareness and a deeper understanding of the importance of water as a basic human right. We are so proud of our students for showing compassion, resilience and a commitment to making a difference. 🌏💙

🌟 Student Success 🌟 We are proud to share that following his success as Liam in Year 6 qualified for and competed at the Little Athletics NSW State Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park last weekend. Liam competed in three events and achieved outstanding results against strong competition: 🏅 18th in Javelin 🏅 11th in Shot Put 🥉 4th in Discus Competing at this level is an incredible accomplishment, and Liam’s results reflect his dedication and hard work. We are especially proud of the perseverance, character, and sportsmanship he displayed throughout the competition. 👏 Congratulations, Liam! We look forward to seeing what you achieve next.

🏏 Student Success 🏏 We are incredibly proud to celebrate Yethum’s outstanding achievement at the Nepean District Cricket Association (NDCA) award ceremony held on March 20, 2026. Yethum was recognised for achieving the best bowling average in the 2025/26 summer cricket season — an exceptional accomplishment! Finishing the season with 19 wickets at an incredible average of 3.11, Yethum’s performance is a testament to his skill, dedication, and hard work. Congratulations, Yethum!
