2018 Parent Helper Breakfast
On Wednesday, 12 December, staff and parents gathered for the 2018 Parent Helper Breakfast. This breakfast is a small way to say thank you to the parents and carers who assist during the school year including covering library books, assisting in the canteen, assisting in events such as discos, barbecues and concerts as well as helping coach students in a range of sporting gala days.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated and valued by the entire school community. Every helping hand, not matter how small, helps our students to be safe, respectful learners.

π Harmony Day at St Nicholas of Myra 𧑠Harmony Day is a special opportunity for us to celebrate the rich diversity of cultures, backgrounds, and traditions that make up our wonderful school community. It reminds us that everyone belongs and highlights the importance of respect, inclusion, and understanding. As a Catholic community, we are called to welcome and include all, recognising the dignity of every person and celebrating the unique gifts each individual brings. On Monday 23rd March, students are invited to wear traditional cultural dress or something orange to show their support for Harmony Day. All members of our community are warmly invited to join us for a Harmony Day Prayer, which will take place following our Monday morning assembly at 9:00am. We look forward to celebrating together! π§‘

Today we congratulate our Year 3 and Year 5 students who have now completed their 2026 NAPLAN assessments. We are very proud of the way our students approached these assessments, showing persistence, resilience and a positive attitude as they gave their best effort in each assessment. NAPLAN provides a snapshot of learning, but it does not capture the many strengths, talents and qualities that make each of our students unique. Well done Year 3 and Year 5! π

π Happy St Patrickβs Day! π Today our school community celebrated St Patrickβs Day, remembering the life and faith of St Patrick, who brought the message of Godβs love to the people of Ireland. Students enjoyed coming together in prayer, learning about the story of St Patrick, and celebrating the rich faith and traditions of our Catholic Church. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and plenty of green around the school! π£ Easter Egg Donations & Raffle π« Our St Nicholas of Myra School Easter Raffle will be drawn on Monday 30 March at 2:00pm during our Easter Hat Parade. We warmly invite families to support this event by donating Easter items between now and Friday 20 March. We understand that the cost of living has increased and that Easter eggs can sometimes be expensive. π Year 6 Intergenerational Program π Today our second group of Year 6 students visited The Royce as part of our wonderful Intergenerational Program. On the agenda today was decorating cupcakes with a St Patrickβs Day theme ππ§. Students enjoyed spending time with the residents, listening to their stories and learning from the wisdom of our elders. We were also lucky enough to meet the man behind the name, with students having the opportunity to meet Penrith legend Royce Simmons. A special experience for our students and a beautiful reminder of the value of connection across generations. π
