Students and their families have recently taken part in four session to welcome the newest members of the St Nicholas of Myra community
The sessions included demonstrations of learning at St Nicholas, classroom walkthroughs, students and parent speakers, numerous information sessions from experts such as nutritionist, school banking, road safety experts, and occupational therapists.
The sessions culminated with a moving Liturgy with the 2018 and 2019 Kindergarten students.
We can't wait for out newest member to begin in 2019!

✝️ Our Faith in Action ✝️ Inspired by the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, our St Nicholas of Myra students have been generously giving up their time to learn crochet and create items for those in need this winter. Led by Mrs Zacherl and our Faith in Action Team, this wonderful initiative reflects the mission of the Church and the work of organisations such as St Vincent de Paul Society, who serve those experiencing hardship with compassion and dignity. As we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart, we are reminded that Jesus calls us to share His love with all people, especially those most in need. Through their acts of service, our students are putting their faith into action and showing the kindness, generosity and love that are at the heart of the Gospel. We are so proud of our students for making a difference in the lives of others and being living examples of Christ's love in our community. 🙏❤️

❤️🔥 Sacred Heart Liturgy ❤️🔥 Today, our students gathered in prayer to celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Through a beautiful liturgy, we reflected on the boundless love, compassion and mercy of Jesus. Father Rojan reminded us that the love found in the Heart of Jesus is endless and always calls us back to Him. No matter where we are on our journey, Jesus welcomes us with open arms and invites us to live lives of faith, kindness and love. Thank you to everyone who helped make this special celebration such a meaningful expression of our Catholic faith. 🙏 ❤️🔥

⚽ Stage 3 Soccer Gala Day ⚽ Yesterday, our Stage 3 students proudly represented St Nicholas of Myra at the CSPD Stage 3 Soccer Gala Day. The students showcased their soccer skills, determination, and teamwork against strong competition from across the diocese. What stood out most was the way our students supported and encouraged one another throughout the day, displaying the wonderful St Nick’s spirit both on and off the field. We are incredibly proud of the sportsmanship, resilience, and enthusiasm they demonstrated. A special thank you to our dedicated teachers for supporting and encouraging the students throughout the day. Your commitment helped make this a fantastic experience for all involved. 📝💙 Kindergarten 2027 📝💙 Future Kindy student Isabella has been having a wonderful time exploring her Kindergarten enrolment pack as she prepares to start "big school" next year! Isabella has been busy counting with her bead string, drawing in her prayer book, and practising writing her name. It is fantastic to see her enthusiasm and excitement as she gets ready for this important milestone. We cannot wait to welcome Isabella, along with all of our new 2027 Kindergarten students, into the St Nicholas of Myra family. 💙💜🧡 We would love to see more of our future Kindergarten students exploring their enrolment packs and preparing for their Kindergarten transition in Term 4. 🏅 Kirby Awards – Week 8 Assembly 🏅 Congratulations to Harin and Ethan, who received their Kirby Awards at our Week 8 Assembly. Both students have consistently demonstrated our school expectations through their learning, behaviour and interactions with others. 🙏✝️ First Holy Communion ✝️🙏 This weekend, St Nicholas of Myra students celebrated a very special milestone in their faith journey, receiving their First Holy Communion on the Feast of The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) at St Nicholas of Myra Church. Surrounded by their families, teachers and parishioners, the students received Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time. During the celebration, Father Joe reminded us that the Eucharist is “the source and summit of the Christian life,” nourishing us and drawing us closer to Christ. Congratulations to Issac, Oliver, Emily, Irene, Liam, Jamie, Zian, Valentina and Fletcher on this important step in their sacramental journey. The St Vincent de Paul volunteers were incredibly grateful for the many items donated, which will provide warmth, comfort and support to people experiencing hardship this winter. 🎶 Musica Viva Australia at St Nicholas of Myra 🎶 St Nicholas of Myra students enjoyed a powerful and engaging performance titled Lost Histories by musician and composer Troy, alongside violinist Susie and vocalist Leila. Through music, storytelling and reflection, students explored Troy's connection to history, culture and place. The performance encouraged students to think deeply about their own stories, identities and connections to the world around them. Students enthusiastically sang along to songs they had been learning in Music with Mrs Clarke, making the experience even more meaningful and interactive. The enthusiasm, participation and thoughtful engagement shown by our students throughout the performance were outstanding. A heartfelt thank you to Troy, Susie and Leila for sharing your talents, stories and passion with our St Nicholas of Myra community. We had so much fun learning with you and were inspired by the experience.

💤💙 Pyjama Day for the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal 💤💙 Today, the students and staff of St Nicholas of Myra came to school in their pyjamas to support the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. As the winter months approach, many individuals and families in our community will face challenges meeting their basic needs. As a Catholic school community, we are called to care for those who are most vulnerable and to put our faith into action through acts of kindness, generosity and service. 🧸💙 PYJAMA DAY – Tomorrow 💙🧸 Tomorrow 3rd June 2026, our school community will be supporting the St Vincent de Paul Society Winter Appeal through our Pyjama Day! ❄️ Students are invited to wear their pyjamas to school and bring along donations to support local families and individuals doing it tough this winter. Please note all students must wear enclosed shoes (no ugg boots) and hats for safety. We are collecting items such as: 🧣 Beanies, blankets and scarves 🪥 Toothpaste and toothbrushes 🧴 Soap/body wash, shampoo and deodorant 💜 Feminine hygiene products and sanitiser “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” – Acts 20:35 Together, we can make a difference in the lives of others within our community.
