2019 Student Leadership Speeches
Students in Year 5 presented their 2019 student leadership speeches to the school leadership team and students in Stages 2 and 3. Students in Year 5 have the opportunity to lead their school as school or sport captains. Well done to all students who presented their speeches. Our leaders will be announced at the 2018 Graduation Mass.

π·π°ππ Infants Farm Excursion ππ·π St Nicholas of Myra infants students attended an excursion to the farm. We were able to learn all about the farm animals and get hands on with goats, sheep, alpacas, llamas, chickens, rabbits and ducks. We had lots of fun and only got a little muddy π

βοΈβοΈ Faith In Action βοΈβοΈ The St Nicholas of Myra Faith In Action team attended 'Lifted Jnr' at Rooty Hill. 'Lifted Jnr' is an event that brings students from Year 5 and 6 together in music and faith. They will return to school 'lifted' to make a difference in their community.

β€οΈβπ₯β€οΈβπ₯ Confirmation β€οΈβπ₯β€οΈβπ₯ Last week, St Nicholas of Myra students completed the Sacrament of Confirmation completing their Sacraments of Initiation. Confirmation about renewing your baptismal promises and receiving a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Congratulations to Noaelle, Isabella, Isabella, Charlotte, Anna, Levi and Ozias.

We welcome the election of Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost as the Pope, now to be known by the name Leo XIV. This represents a momentous event in the life of the Catholic Church, the wider community of Christian believers and, in many respects, the whole world.β Conference President, Archbishop Costelloe said Pope Francis had βreminded us that unity does not demand uniformity, but rather openness to the rich diversity of the many cultures and traditions which are part of our Christian heritageβ. Pope Leo XIV paid tribute to Pope Francis in his first remarks, which focused on peace. βPeace be with all of you,β he said. A beautiful liturgy led by Father Joe and a morning tea with the Mothers and their children.
