✝️Easter Prayer Service and Prayer for Pope Francis✝️ Term 2 began with Prayer services for Easter and Pope Francis as well as our ANZAC commemoration. This Year is a Jubilee Year in the Catholic Church. The theme is Pilgrims of Hope. All services today are unlined by the key message of HOPE. Hope for ourselves, Hope for each other and Hope for the world.

💜🛐 Easter Prayer and Prayer for Pope Francis 💜🛐 We will begin the term with an Easter Prayer Service as well as a Prayer for our Holy Father, Pope Francis on Wednesday 30th April. The prayer service will begin at 9:00am on the school playground. All are welcome.

✝️ Easter Sunday ✝️ Today is Easter Sunday. Easter Sunday marks Jesus's resurrection. After Jesus was crucified on the Friday his body was taken down from the cross and buried in a cave tomb. The tomb was guarded by Roman soldiers and an enormous stone was put over the entrance. On Sunday Mary Magdalene and some of Jesus's disciples visited the tomb. But Jesus was not there. ... ✝️ Good Friday ✝️ Today is Good Friday. Good Friday marks the Commemoration of the Crucification of Jesus. Jesus walked from the court yard to Calvary Hill carrying His cross. The path he used is called Via Dolorosa, "the way of pain." ... And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people. When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”- The Gospel of Matthew
