On this ANZAC Day, our school community pauses in remembrance and gratitude for all who have served and continue to serve in times of conflict and peace. We honour the courage, sacrifice, and mateship of the Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women who have shaped our history. As we reflect, we are reminded of the enduring words from John McCrae’s poem “In Flanders Fields”: “They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.” As a faith community, we pray for all who have died in war, entrusting them to the loving mercy of God. May Christ, our hope and peace, inspire us to be people of compassion, reconciliation, and service in our world. May we continue to teach our students the importance of remembrance, respect, and peace. Lest we forget.

🌺 ANZAC Day Commemoration 🌺 The St Nicholas of Myra school community gathered in prayer and reflection to commemorate ANZAC Day. In a solemn and respectful ceremony, we listened to the Word of God and remembered the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of the men and women who have served our nation. As a Catholic community, we are called to live out the values reflected in the ANZAC spirit; courage, mateship, sacrifice, and service. These echo the Gospel message of love, selflessness, and standing for what is right, just as Jesus taught us. ✝️ May we continue to honour this legacy by living lives of compassion, serving others, and working for peace in our world. 🌿 Lest we forget. 🌿

✝️ ❤️🔥 Sacrament of Confirmation ❤️🔥 ✝️ Last night, 14 current students and one former student of St Nicholas of Myra received the Sacrament of Confirmation at St Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, Penrith NSW. Surrounded by family, friends, and our faith community, they stood proudly and were presented, ready to renew their baptismal promises. Through this special sacrament, they were strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit — wisdom, understanding, right judgment, courage, knowledge, reverence, and wonder and awe — guiding them to live out their faith with confidence and purpose. 🕊️ ❤️🔥 Congratulations to each of you on this important step in your faith journey. We look forward to seeing how you share your faith through service, kindness, and love with all those you encounter. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide and inspire you always. 🙏

✨🕊️ Confirmation Celebration ✨🕊️ Congratulations to our St Nicholas of Myra students receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation tonight - Kacey, Alex, Tiegan-Maree, Celine, Vivien, Lyla, Caitlyn, Natania, Lucas, Jake, Auri, Orno, Yethum and Olivia. Confirmation is a special moment in the life of a Catholic. Alleluia! Christ is risen! Easter Sunday is the heart of our faith, celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus and His victory over sin and death.
