In Term 4, Stage 2 is lucky enough to be working with a professional author in Term 4 once a week with the company WestWords
The project will be running for the first 5 weeks of the term and has already started off with a bang! The students are working hard on the way they craft stories, different features of texts, and getting feedback from a professional author. In the weeks to come, they will also have an opportunity to be working alongside a professional Illustrator. We look forward to seeing the student’s creative writing develop and to the students’ turning into authors.

Today we welcomed St Finbar’s and St Matthew’s for the third year of the Simmons Collective Challenge! Stage 2 and 3 students from all schools participated in three exciting and engaging challenges throughout the day. First, students worked in teams to build the tallest tower they could using only marshmallows and pasta. Next, they tackled a series of challenging quiz questions that tested their teamwork and critical thinking skills. Finally, they used Indi cars to navigate creative pathways based on challenge cards — a fun and tech-inspired way to wrap up the day! 💛Year 6 Visit to The Royce 💛 Today, our Year 6 students visited The Royce to take part in R U OK? Day activities. They enjoyed a creative craft session, making a beautiful gratitude tree 🌳, where they reflected on what they're thankful for. The students also had fun with a guessing competition, and the highlight for many was meeting Bowie the dog! 🐶💛 A big thank you to The Royce for hosting such a meaningful day focused on connection, kindness, and wellbeing.

🏛️ Stage 2 Excursion 🏛️ Stage 2 students enjoyed a wonderful day at the Australian Museum. They were able to explore a range of exhibits and completed sessions about animals features where they were given a feature and they had to go and find the animal in the museum. A fun filled day with lots of valuable hands on learning.
