In Term 4, Stage 2 is lucky enough to be working with a professional author in Term 4 once a week with the company WestWords

The project will be running for the first 5 weeks of the term and has already started off with a bang! The students are working hard on the way they craft stories, different features of texts, and getting feedback from a professional author. In the weeks to come, they will also have an opportunity to be working alongside a professional Illustrator. We look forward to seeing the student’s creative writing develop and to the students’ turning into authors.

πŸ“šβœ¨ BOOK WEEK HAS BEGUN! βœ¨πŸ“š Our St Nicholas of Myra students kicked off Book Week in spectacular style with an amazing performance by Tony Bones and his Books to Life! πŸŽπŸ“– Each year, Tony chooses a book from the CBCA Shortlist and brings its characters and story to life on stage. This year, our students were treated to Being Indy, a wonderful story about trying to fit in, discovering who we really are, and recognising the true worth of being yourself. πŸ’™ A huge thank you to Tony for once again delivering an incredible performance and helping our students see just how magical books can be! 🌟 Happy Book Week, St Nick’s! πŸ“šπŸŽΆπŸŽ‰
