In Term 4, Stage 2 is lucky enough to be working with a professional author in Term 4 once a week with the company WestWords

The project will be running for the first 5 weeks of the term and has already started off with a bang! The students are working hard on the way they craft stories, different features of texts, and getting feedback from a professional author. In the weeks to come, they will also have an opportunity to be working alongside a professional Illustrator. We look forward to seeing the student’s creative writing develop and to the students’ turning into authors.

πŸ’š Year 6 Intergenerational Program πŸ’š Today our second group of Year 6 students visited The Royce as part of our wonderful Intergenerational Program. On the agenda today was decorating cupcakes with a St Patrick’s Day theme πŸ€πŸ§. Students enjoyed spending time with the residents, listening to their stories and learning from the wisdom of our elders. We were also lucky enough to meet the man behind the name, with students having the opportunity to meet Penrith legend Royce Simmons. A special experience for our students and a beautiful reminder of the value of connection across generations. πŸ’š
