In Term 4, Stage 2 is lucky enough to be working with a professional author in Term 4 once a week with the company WestWords
The project will be running for the first 5 weeks of the term and has already started off with a bang! The students are working hard on the way they craft stories, different features of texts, and getting feedback from a professional author. In the weeks to come, they will also have an opportunity to be working alongside a professional Illustrator. We look forward to seeing the student’s creative writing develop and to the students’ turning into authors.

πYear 6 Royce Visit π Throughout the year, our Year 6 students have been visiting the residents of The Royce Retirement Village as part of their outreach, building relationships and learning from the wisdom and life experiences of others. Today, our Year 6 students shared the joy of Christmas by singing carols and gifting the residents handmade Christmas cards and decorations. This beautiful act of service reflects our Catholic faith in action, living out Christβs call to love, serve, and bring joy to others. πYear 6 Social Night π Our Year 6 students celebrated together with their teachers at a fantastic Year 6 Social Evening. The night was filled with fun dancing, plenty of food, and some friendly (and competitive!) soccer and basketball games against the teachers. It was the perfect way to cap off a big week for Year 6, finishing with their graduation cupcakes and a beautiful video reflection of their time at St Nicholas of Myra.
