Today we welcomed our local Catholic high schools to visit our Stage 3 students, sharing what they have to offer as our learners begin to look ahead to the next stage of their educational journey. It was wonderful to reconnect with former St Nicholas of Myra students and see how they are thriving in their high school years. It was a beautiful reminder of the strong relationships formed in our community. We thank our visiting schools for inspiring our students and strengthening the connection across our Catholic learning community. ✨

🏊♂️ Nepean Zone Swimming Carnival 2026 🏊♀️ St Nicholas of Myra students truly got into the swimming spirit at the 2026 Nepean Zone Swimming Carnival. Our students showcased their skills, cheered one another on and competed with outstanding effort and determination. We are so proud of the way they conducted themselves both in and out of the water, demonstrating respect, teamwork and true sportsmanship. Not 1, not 2, not 3… but 12 students will now represent the Nepean Zone at the 2026 CSPD Swimming Carnival on March 4th! A sincere thank you to our dedicated teachers and supportive parents who encouraged and supported our students throughout the day. What an incredible achievement . Way to go, St Nick’s! 💙🧡💜👏

✝️ Ash Wednesday – Infants Liturgy 💜 Today our Infants students gathered for a beautiful Ash Wednesday Liturgy to mark the beginning of the Lenten season. Through prayer and reflection, students learned that Lent is a special time to grow closer to God by showing kindness, making good choices and caring for others. A special thank you to our Faith in Action Team for leading our Liturgy with such reverence and confidence. We are proud of the leadership they show within our school community. 🙏✨ May this season of Lent be a time of hope, love and renewal for all.

✝️ Ash Wednesday – Primary ✝️ Today our Stage 3 students at St Nicholas of Myra attended Mass for Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of the Lenten season. During Lent, we strive to grow closer to God through prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Father Rojan reminded us that God has given us something very special, today. He also challenged us throughout this holy season: How can we do something for someone else each day of Lent? Our Infants students will hold a Liturgy at 2:30pm in the school hall. All are warmly welcome to join us as we begin this sacred journey together. 🙏💜

✝ 2026 Welcome Picnic ✝ What a wonderful way to begin the 2026 school year! Our Welcome Picnic was a fantastic opportunity for families, students and staff to come together in community and celebrate the year ahead. It was great to see so many families enjoying time together, reconnecting with friends and making new connections. ✝️ 2026 Opening School Mass ✝️ The St Nicholas of Myra community gathered to celebrate our 2026 Opening School Mass. Our theme was “Together We Learn, Together We Serve” was inspired by Galatians 5:13. It was a beautiful opportunity to come together in faith as we begin a new school year. Father Rojan spoke about the importance of being united in our learning, in service to one another, and in our relationship with God. His message reminded us that we are strongest when we walk together as a community. We look forward to a wonderful 2026 together as a school community. ✨🙏

✨ Opening School Mass, Student Leader Induction & Welcome Picnic ✨ Just a reminder that our Opening School Mass, Student Leader Induction and Welcome Picnic will be held tomorrow, Friday 13th February. Students are asked to wear their full summer uniform for this significant whole school event as we gather to celebrate the beginning of the school year and formally induct our 2026 Student Leaders. 🏅 Student Success 🏅 Last weekend, Liam in Year 6 competed at the Little Athletics Region 6 Carnival, showcasing his talents across a range of events including the 100m, 200m, Discus, Shot Put and Javelin. We are thrilled to share that Liam brought home Bronze medals in Discus, Shot Put and Javelin!
